Elisa Pritchard

Teacher 1

Hello, my name is Elisa Pritchard (known as Ms. Lisa). I am married with two boys and have been working at the Child Study Center for 14 years. I had worked with infants for 9 years before trying the wonderful experience of looping with my infants. I now stay with my children from infancy until they leave for preschool at three years of age. This has been a tremendous experience and I am now in my second time of looping. We are studying the Reggio Emilia approach and how to relate it to infants and toddlers. It is always exciting and challenging to work in a laboratory school but it is very fulfilling.
I have presented many workshops at both the local and the state level. I have had many professional opportunities to study and travel to become more knowledgeable in early childhood education and the Reggio Emilia approach.

My most recent presentation was at the 2006 Early Childhood Conference at ETSU. It was titled “Math and Science for Infants and Toddlers”.

I have a B.S. degree in Early Childhood – Elementary Education from ETSU. I am currently working on a Master’s degree in Early Childhood and hope to finish very soon.
